A research lab in China has successfully converted some parts of a stem cell to primitive sperm (spermatids) which were used to produce healthy pups from a mouse via IVF. They think this is the beginning of new age science and should spark some motivation from fellow researchers all over the world.
This can solve the problem of the high number of men going through prostate cancer and still want to have children. Although there would be several ethical issues to go through but once this is solved, this research is very promising.
