Our mission vision and values

The AHPN's mission is to improve the health and wellbeing of Africans living in the UK who are disproportionately affected by long term health conditions such as HIV, mental health, diabetes and obesity.

Our vision is to narrow the health inequality gap by ensuring that African communities in the UK have equal access to services, support and information. This is achieved through a human rights based approach that ensures that the design, delivery and monitoring of health and cares services are tailored around the needs of Africans in the UK.

Our values commit the AHPN to being a leading independent voice for achieving the human rights of Africans in the UK, through:

  • Inclusivity and involvement
